Daylight Savings Time (DST) is a pain, but today it’s a thing of the past–at least for a while. We are now officially returning to Standard Time. Back in the days when most of the population worked outside doing agricultural tasks, DST was a good idea. Now, it’s just something of an inconvenience to reset everything in order to be on time for appointments, classes, and fun activities. Nevertheless, it’s that time of year once again.
Okay, we get it. We will turn our clocks and other time-telling devices back an hour to keep in step with the rest of Fort Worth. The rebel spark says, “Don’t do it. Nothing bad will happen.” Yet, the practical says, “Just do it.” You know who the winner is in this tug of war. Practical may mean conventional, but in the case of Daylight Savings Time and Standard Time, resetting the clocks and watches is a matter of survival.
