It’s a beautiful, but cold, Sunday and, more than usual, a special day.
Tonight Fort Worth’s Parade of Lights starts at 6:00 PM. Come to downtown to see the beautiful floats and hear fantastic local bands. It’s a new date this year. Okay. It makes my heart a little sad that all this Christmas stuff is happening before Thanksgiving, but the powers that be have deemed it so. I’ll go along with the good cheer, happiness, and joy, especially when I see the children’s faces as they watch the parade and finally see Santa. Extend the good times by going to Sundance Square after the parade to see the Christmas tree’s lights blaze at 8:00 PM.
Please dress warmly and bring along a thermos of hot chocolate. If you forget your beverage, you can always buy it from a downtown merchant. You won’t recognize me as I’ll look like a blob because I’ll be wearing many layers, even sporting flannel-lined jeans from Dickey’s. Viva Fort Worth!
