Just read somewhere that being with people helps keep you healthy. If so, for your health’s sake, you may want to come to Fort Worth’s Downtown YMCA, 512 Lamar, tomorrow, Friday, January 8, at 11:45 AM for the first pot luck luncheon of the year. Here you’ll meet and greet long-time friends and make some new ones as you share a communal meal in the SOS Conference Room. You can sign up at the Member Services Desk or call 817 332-3281 to let them know you’re coming and what you’re bringing to share.
January’s luncheon theme is “Soup and Sandwiches.” Bring a pot of your favorite soup or chili and eat the sandwiches provided by the Y. No, I’m not bringing an apple pie this time, but I am putting together a crock-pot of delicious (at least to me) soup. Come have some and let me know what you think. The Y will provide drinks and paper goods.
As always, there will be a little Bingo after the meal. Who knows? You may be lucky enough to win a prize. It’ll be a free fun afternoon of food, fellowship, and friends.
