Cowtown Goes Green

Stockyards Station will host Cowtown Goes Green, the city’s largest and most family friendly St. Patrick’s Day celebration, today, Saturday, March 19, 12 noon until 5 PM.

The event in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District will feature free activities for kids including armadillo races, a petting zoo, face painting, games and contests with 92.1 Hank FM, live music, and gunfights. Check out the longhorn wearing a green cowboy hat in honor of St. Paddy.

Our own special Western/Irish themed Cowtown Goes Green Parade follows the 4pm cattle drive traveling down Exchange Avenue. It’s a little chilly and windy, so you’ll want to wear your winter coat, hat, and gloves. Be sure to visit the Visitor’s Center and the shops.

All activities are free of charge and are open to the public.
