Jazz at Central Library

The Delfeayo Marsalis Quintet is the featured performance for Fort Worth Central Library’s free May 19, 3rd Thursday Jazz Series 2016. The music begins at 6:30 PM, Thursday, May 19.

From the famous Marsalis family, Delfeayo is one of the top trombonists, composers, and producers in jazz today. The man is known for his “technical excellence, inventive mind, and frequent touches of humor”, according to L. Feather of the LA Times. He is “one of the best, most imaginative, and musical of the trombonists of his generation”, per P. Elwood, San Francisco Examiner. What a treat awaits his audience.

Another treat is the refreshment table manned by the Library’s employees and usually stocked with delicious cookies, coffee, and bottled water. Patrons can enjoy a pat on the tummy and a pat on the heart.

Free parking is available in the Sundance Square Garage III at 420 Throckmorton Street and on the streets after 6:00 PM. Entrance to the parking garage is located on 3rd. Street just a block from the Library’s entrance at 500 W. 3rd. Street in downtown Fort Worth.
