Yes, it’s going to be a little chilly Saturday morning, December 9, but this free walking tour of downtown Forth Worth’s historic churches will get your blood pumping. Sponsored and hosted by Donna and Tim Young of Fort Worth Texas Real Estate, the tour will take you to places you’ve never been or even thought existed. Just make your reservations (space is limited) at this web site <https://www.eventbrite.com/e/free-walking-tour-fort-worths-historic-churches-tickets-40112558743>. After you’re registered, come on Saturday to enjoy the two hour walk through downtown Fort Worth with lots of stops along the way.
The tour starts at the historic T&P Lofts at 221 West Lancaster in the resident’s lounge, entered at the revolving brass door, about 9:00 am. The monthly tour is usually led by Fort Worth historian Dr. Richard Selcer and other tour guides who share a love of Fort Worth history. Parking is free at meters along Lancaster Avenue, or paid parking is available in the lot in front of the T&P building. Come early, say between 8:40 AM and 8:45 AM, to enjoy breakfast burritos prepared by the Youngs as well as coffee and orange juice. Even if you forget your bottled water, there is some available in the T&P residents’ lounge. Bundle up, and come on out.
