Welcome! Designing, developing, and writing this blog is my Tarrant County College Creative Writing II. class final exam project and an entirely new experience for me. I’m not sure exactly how or where it will go after our class ends, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
I write to communicate, to share, to question, and to learn, as I believe the written word is a powerful vehicle to create community and foster peace.
My blog philosophy is simple and direct, as my approach is positive and upbeat. My daddy used to say, “It’s a good day when you learn something.” Applying his wisdom, I hope that you will have a good day each time you read Annie Ambles. I’m glad you decided to drop by this new blog to check it out.
I’m a senior citizen, Ruth Ann Storey Hodges, living in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. Maybe like me, you, too, love writing, reading, volunteering, learning, and traveling. At any rate, Annie Ambles will focus on these loves, especially Fort Worth places and activities that are free or low cost to senior citizens (55+), retirees, and downtown residents as well as on experiences I’ve gained while visiting all 50 states and 32 foreign countries.
